Homer Laughlin's "Dogwood" Pendant Necklace

This gorgeous & totally fabulous antiqued silver pendant was created out of a salad plate from Homer Laughlin's "Dogwood" pattern which features a classic mid-century modern style with stunning white dogwood flowers, green leaves & brown stalks with a gold trim. They were part of the Homer Laughlin Debutante line which was produced in 1950. This is a friend's pattern ~ she had a mishap & brought me enough of the shattered pieces to create a pendant for her & just enough leftover to create this beauty for you! Unless I find more of these plates in my travels, it will be a one & done one of a kind!
The design for this ab~fab pendant was chosen from the broken plate, carefully cut out with ceramic tile nippers, smoothed out to size & shape with my handy dandy grinder, then (white) grout was added to the edges to seal & further protect the vintage china piece.
I have lovingly placed the porcelain piece into an oval shaped fantastic antique silver plated brass bezel that measures just under just over 1 1/2" long x just under 1 1/4" wide.
The necklace I am providing to wear this beauty is a 16" olive green (glass) seed bead necklace, with lobster claw closure + 3" extender chain.
*Aside from the necklace option I'm providing, you could also hang it from most any necklace you have in your jewelry box.
**Each JBD piece comes with a 'Story Card' that tells a little about the Vintage China Pattern that was used in the piece purchased! :)
