Empress China's 'Saturn' Pendant Necklace

This gorgeous gunmetal pendant was created from a vintage soup bowl in the super cool & very retro pattern, "Saturn", by Empress China (Japan). This fantastic pattern features a gold & brown geometric square overlay, a central floral motif with pink, orange & brown accents. Empress China patterns have production dates ranging from the 1920s to the 1980s, but the "Saturn" pattern itself is associated with the 1970s. For this pendant, I was able to capture 2 of those super fab floral motifs for you to enjoy!
The design for this ab~fab pendant was chosen from the bowl, carefully cut out with ceramic tile nippers, smoothed out to size & shape with my handy dandy grinder, then (white) grout is added to the edges to seal & further protect the vintage china piece.
I have lovingly placed the porcelain piece into a trapezoid shaped gunmetal plated zinc-based alloy bezel that measures 1 3/4" long, 1 1/4" at its widest point.
The necklace I am offering to wear this fun & fab piece is an 18" Gunmetal snake chain necklace with a lobster claw clasp + 1.5" extender chain.
*Aside from the necklace I provide, conversely, you could also hang it from most any necklace you have in your jewelry box...
