"Ming Birds" by Lenox Butterfly Pendant Necklace

This gorgeous vintage china gunmetal trapezoid pendant was created from a "Ming Birds" patterned bread plate by Lenox (USA). This pattern is known for its intricate design featuring a cream or white porcelain base with colorful birds, butterflies, floral motifs & a light blue scrollwork border. This is a discontinued pattern that has been produced in various versions over many decades. The "older" version typically features a black or green backstamp & was produced between 1917 - 1963. For this stunning pendant, I captured that lovely butterfly as well as some of the prettiest of the floral elements for you to enjoy!
The design for this ab~fab pendant was chosen from the plate, carefully cut out with ceramic tile nippers, smoothed out to size & shape with my handy dandy grinder, then (white) grout is added to the edges to seal & further protect the vintage china piece.
I have lovingly placed the porcelain piece into a trapezoid shaped gunmetal plated zinc-based alloy bezel that measures 1 3/4" long, 1 1/4" at its widest point.
The necklace I am providing to wear this beauty is a 16" Gunmetal Figaro chain necklace with lobster clasp + 3" extender chain.
*Aside from the necklace provided, you could also hang it from most any necklace you have in your jewelry box.
