This beautiful & totally fabulous antiqued silver pendant has been created from vintage Japanese porcelain coffee mug by Fuji Fine China.
Design Style: The mug features a traditional Kutani-style motif, characterized by intricate, multi-paneled designs of bluebirds, chrysanthemums & floral brocade. Era: These types of porcelain mugs were commonly produced in Japan during the 1970s & 1980s. For this beautiful pendant, I captured one of the gorgeous Eastern Bluebirds for you to enjoy!
The design for this ab~fab pendant was chosen from the coffee mug, carefully cut out with ceramic tile nippers, smoothed out to size & shape with my handy dandy grinder, then (white) grout was added to the edges to seal & further protect the vintage china piece.
I have lovingly placed the porcelain piece into an oval shaped antiqued silver setting that measures a little over 1 1/2" long x 1" wide.
The necklace I am offering to wear this beauty is a 16" stainless steel box chain necklace with lobster clasp. The links make the necklace somewhat convertible in length ~ you can attach the lobster claw at the length you desire!
*Aside from the option you choose, conversely, you could also hang it from most any necklace you have in your jewelry box.
**Each JBD piece comes with a 'Story Card' that tells a little about the Vintage China Pattern that was used in the piece purchased! :)
